Why do partners 'pause' or become 'unavailable'?

Learn what it means when a partner pauses or becomes unavailable and get a closer look at why these changes in status happen on the platform.

When a partner that was previously available for promotion can no longer be seen on your partners screen, they have either been paused or become unavailable.

One of the core elements of Pangea Health's platform offering is forming partnerships with healthcare companies looking to have their products or services promoted at the point of care. We call these companies our partners, and we work to connect them with independent medical sales representatives through our app-based platform.

A paused partner may become available again soon with no changes to their presence on the platform, but sometimes paused partners change their approach to promotion while they are away. Unavailable partners are not expected to return to your partner screen anytime soon, but we at Pangea Health are working very hard to bring new and exciting partners to all our geographies everyday, so expect unavailable partners to be replaced by new and exciting healthcare companies!

So why do partners pause or become unavailable? When a partner is preparing to go live on the Pangea Health platform, they have a lot of decisions to make around budget, marketing materials, eligible office specialities, geographies, and more. To help our partners find the most success possible on our platform, we work with them to carefully plan out their approach to all of these variables.

Occasionally, one or more aspects of the approach may need to be adjusted. This can look like a partner changing the geographies they are available to promote within, the kinds of office specialties they are targeting, or how many offices they want visited per month (often controlled by budget). Adjustments made to any of these variables can result in a partner being 'paused' on the platform, or not being available anymore all together. Examples of reasons for partner pauses and unavailability include:

  • A partner hits their budget limit and will pause till the next period begins.
  • Targeted geographies are changed and removed areas will no longer be eligible.
  • A shift in targeted specialties causes an office you previously visited to no longer be eligible.
  • A partner makes changes to their marketing materials and will pause till printing is done.
  • A partner needs to update their training and will pause till sales representatives can re-train.

These examples are not exhaustive. Partners pause, restart, and become unavailable on the platform for a wide variety of reasons.

When our partners need to pause or become unavailable, we try our best to minimize disruption to our sales representatives by letting them know in advance, with at least a few days of notice.

In the meantime, will will continue to maintain strong relationships with our partners so that we can continue to facilitate successful experiences that drive positive results for all.
